How much do you do for your children? You probably don’t realise half the time. Working all hours so they have a better life, teaching them all you can, introducing them to experiences that will help them as adults. What if when you die your children are taxed on all the benefits you have worked so hard to give them? Every tutor or dance lesson, the hockey matches and holidays, healthy diets and dental care. What if you live next door to people high up in the BBC and they give your children their first job opportunity but when you die they have to pay 20% of everything they have earned from that opportunity.
That is what the new Inheritance Tax for Family Owned Businesses is going to do.
These Family owned businesses are the spine of Great Britain and an attack on them is an attack on the whole country. Everyone who uses food will be affected. All children not just farming families.
When @bbcnews was in Cirencester yesterday they could have told viewers about @royalaguni educating the next generation of food producers & land protectors or the amazing work @cooper_kaleb is doing providing agricultural bursaries and supporting farmer’s mental health. Perhaps @bbcnewsuk chose a farm in the Cotswolds to try to link agriculture to @disneyplusuk Rivals. They certainly didn’t mention the generations of sheep farmers that give it its name. Instead of highlighting the concerns of over 10,000 people surrounding her @vicderbyshire chose to try and belittle one man @jeremyclarkson1 More interested in settling personal scores than reporting the unbiased story to millions of viewers.
@bbcnewsuk is funded by those thousands of people at the British Farming Rally, if they are finding it hard to provide unbiased, factual reports perhaps it is time to review that funding
