No Mow May 2023

Barnes Property

It's that time of year again - when we are asked to refrain from mowing our lawns and grassy areas quite so completely and pristinely and leave areas for the bees and wildlife. The campaign to embrace the value of wilder grassy areas is not only great for the pollination and biodiversity of your own trees and flowers but is incredibly valuable for wildlife as a whole. Whether it’s creating wild areas of grass or the beautiful Hedgehog Hotels in the pictures below, there are endless things that can be done to maximise the health of our environment. @realfarmed are a not for profit organisation based near Chipping Norton where there are three beautiful eco-buildings including a farm to fork cafe, educational spaces and meeting and conference spaces. They are passionate about the agroecological transition and provide a packed timetable of events promoting farm and food education.
